In Romans 12:4–8 it teaches us about the importance of community in the body of Christ. So through this teaching, and the guidance of Christ, I have been led to start something called WORD WEDNESDAYS (WW).

I just want to preface and say that I am not a teacher or preacher or anyone that holds a specific leadership in the Church. I am just a believer that wishes to seek Christ more, and in anyway I can, bring others along for the ride.

So with that being said, I introduce you to Word Wednesday (WW). I am currently going through a Bible reading plan called ‘The Bible Recap’ by Tara-Leigh. This can be found on amazon and in the YouVersion Bible app incase you wanted to follow along. So every week on Wednesdays I intend to post a write up with what I have learned in the Word that week. Questions I either have or that I want to throw to the public and my personal thoughts, that I wholeheartedly invite every and anyone to participate in through the comments so we can have a discussion and use the Word and not our own understanding as a guide. However, if any questions do arise that we cannot come to a conclusion to as a community, then i will ask Christian leaders in my life for guidance on it and publish it. I also implore others to do the same if they can.

In summary, WW will be held as kind of like an Online Asynchronous Bible Study where we follow a study plan together (although we can stay on a teaching from one day’s chapter for sometime in need be) and come and discuss it together, using the Word and Christian leaders as a guide as we go through it.

In Matthew 13, Jesus tells the famous story of the farmer that had thrown seeds and some fell on fertile ground and grew while others fell on either shallow soil, among thorns or the footpath and they all withered at the end. This story can be interpreted in many ways. However what spoke to me concerning this verse in the last couple of days was about the seed that grew but was chocked by the thorns that surrounded it. Currently in my life, I felt like that plant. I was letting the worries of life, like failing my med school exams, to choke my walk with Christ. However we believers cannot be circumstantial Christians that only come to God in good times. So that’s also a reason I feel led to start WW. So we can collectively be replanted on fertile ground as a community without surrounding thorns choking us.

As Christians, we need to be proactive in actually studying the Word and not just reading it. So a place where believers can come and study and discuss the Word, will be very helpful for our faith. Remember Ecclesiastes (my favorite book, what’s yours?), which is essentially a book that tells you the main goal is Heaven and everything else is vanity upon vanity.

So if you feel you would like to be a part of this journey in getting to know Christ more, because the best way to get to know Christ is through His Word, then subscribe and tune in every Wednesday (by the grace of God), and let’s commune!

CLOSING REMARKS:

Hey! I’m not sure if you are Christian or not and you just stumbled on this post, but if you’re not, and you feel led to give your life to Christ, you can pray the following and believe in your heart that the Lord has heard and answered you and you’ll be part of the Christian family :) (it’s pretty cool over here honestly 😎)

THE SINNER’S PRAYER:

Dear God, I know that I’m a sinner and I need a Savior. I want to turn away from my sinful life to the life You have planned for me. Please forgive me my sins. Cleanse me of my past, make me new. I know Your Son, Jesus Christ died for me. I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. At this very moment, I accept, confess, and proclaim Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior…to live in my heart from this day forward. Thank you Jesus for Your grace that has saved me from my sins and has given me eternal life. Please send Your Holy Spirit to guide me, and to help me do Your will for the rest of my life, in Jesus’ name Amen.

❤️Rejoice, for Heaven has gotten another one (Luke 15:7)❤️
